The Rambling House which had been in decline over the past few decades is now enjoying a welcome revival in recent times. One such Rambling House is located in the south-west of Ireland at Brosna, Co. Kerry. Here,on every alternate Thursday an impromptu gathering of singers, musicians, storytellers,dancers, tea drinkers, sandwich eaters and poets assemble at approxiamately 9pm or thereabouts. No invitations are issued. The audience, active and passive is made up of locals, neighbours, friends and people from the neighbouring counties as well as visitors or holidaymakers depending on the season.

This is Jim Lyons , legendary singer in full voice, as he bewitches his captive audience with one of his rare Irish songs sung in his own inimitable way.

John Keane is a ripper on the banjo which is as complimentary a term as you can attribute to a master of this very engaging instrument.
